Preserve the Nevada Governor’s Mansion

Nevada became a state in 1864 but didn’t have a place for the Governor to live for 45 years.

Nevada legislators approved funding to build a Governor’s Mansion in 1907 and construction was completed in 1909, with Acting Governor Denver S. Dickerson becoming the first to occupy it.

Since construction was completed in 1909, the Governor’s Mansion has undergone multiple renovations with the most recent taking place in 1998 and 1999.

Today, the Nevada Governor’s Mansion still stands as an important piece of our state’s history, and it’s important we continue to care for it.

It has been 25 years since the Nevada Governor’s Mansion was last updated and much longer for some portions of the home. We are asking for your help to restore and preserve the Mansion for the next generation of Nevadans.
